If you’re a fan of pasta, pizza or prosciutto, you should know the countdown to the opening of FICO’s massive food theme park, Eataly World, has begun.
Imagine Disney World but Italian food.
The park, operated by Fabbrica Italiana Contadina, is dedicated to Italian food education and set to open November 15.
Stretching across more than 20 acres, Eataly World will cover every aspect of Italian food as it is part school, shop, and theme park.
Eataly World will include markets overflowing with Italian-made meats, cheese, pasta, and restaurants for those who just would rather not cook.
Visitors can expect to be educated as much as they can expect to be fed. The educational feature will be the recognizable difference between this park and the other Eataly locations across the world.
The campus includes 40 workshops varying from pasta creation to meat curing and plans to use its auditorium space to accommodate conferences.
As said in FICO’s announcement video, “People who learn a job build their identity and acquire the means to make their own choices. And we will be proud to supply them with the tools that enable them to choose wisely in the best possible way.”
With more than 2,000 companies participating, the project is going to create about 3,000 jobs.
FICO plans for Eataly to be the largest food park that the world has to offer. It gets better. Admission to the park is free.
