Following the recent wildfires that destroyed many homes in California, the Napa Valley Wine Train is bringing back their annual Santa Train just in time for the holidays. From November 18 through December 29, Christmas-lovers can enjoy freshly baked cookies, delicious hot chocolate, and Christmas games and sing-alongs fit for all ages.
While the train is typically for ages 21 and up, they make a special exception for their Santa Train. After all, they don’t offer surprises like toys and writing letters to Santa for the adults on the train, although everyone is welcome to take part in the festivities.
For those 21 and older, there is still a wine menu offered or the option to bring your own wine (a corkage fee of $15 for 750-ml bottles is applied).
The luxurious train dates back to the 1980s and is the perfect way to step back in time for a few hours and enjoy the scenery the old fashioned way. And if remembering the view isn’t enough, there will definitely be a photo and social media booth onboard to capture the evening for posterity.
Trains will run from either 5 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. or from 6:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., with tickets starting at $39 for locals, $49 for the 5 p.m. show, and $69 for the 6:45 p.m. show.
