By now, Chrissy Teigen is famous for her quick wit, endless roasts of Donald Trump, and constant social media presence. Unlike most celebrities, Teigen often takes the time to respond to both haters and fans alike.

She recently tweeted the details of a flight to Tokyo that went slightly awry due to an unexpected and confirmed passenger. The mini-saga prompted a fan to ask the question of why do the two stars not fly private?

That’s a great question considering the celebrity couple has a combined net worth of about $50 million. Not surprisingly, the Twitter queen responded to the tweet and shared some honest facts about flying privately.

Don’t be thrown off by this and assume that they’re roughing it in the back of economy. Generally, a first class seat for a weekend trip to Japan would cost around $17,000 a ticket, so they’re still shelling out a decent chunk of money each time they fly.

Teigen may have been slightly off in her estimations, but according to a quote from, renting a small, private jet from Los Angeles to Tokyo would cost about $126,000. We don’t know about you, but we’d be thrilled to save $92,000!
