Who doesn’t love booking an Airbnb for your accommodation when traveling? It’s affordable, fun, and you get all the perks of staying in a real home. It’s also a great way to check out some pretty unique properties you wouldn’t normally have the chance to experience.
Now, two architects have taken that experience to a whole new level, creating their site PlansMatter which allows people to only stay in homes that have unique character and extraordinary architecture.
Connie Lindor and Scott Muellner are the co-founders of PlansMatter. They met on the first day of architecture school at the University of Minnesota College of Design, where their mutual love for all things simple, clean, and detailed became apparent. It didn’t take long before their desire to share that same love and admiration for architecture with others developed into what is now PlansMatter.
The goal of the site is to make experiencing architecturally unique homes effortless and convenient. They currently offer rental properties in the U.S. from coast to coast.
“All accommodations on PlansMatter have architectural quality, intention and a story to tell,” they say. “Our long-term vision is to have every architecturally significant property available for rent globally listed, and to develop a worldwide community of design travelers who love architecture and want to know the story behind their stay.”
